Rodrigo ‘Rigo” Duterte II, representing his father First Congressional District Representative Paolo “Pulong” Duterte, lauded househelps during the “Kasambahay Fun Day” of the Department of Labor and Employment 11 (DOLE 11) at SM City Davao on March 5, 2023.
“Kung tan-aw sa uban tao sayun lang ang trabaho sa atong mga kasambahay, ako nasayud nga dili kani tinuod. Para ang usa ka tao mamahimung epektibo nga kasambahay, daghan siya ug i- sakripisyo labi na ang iyang kaugalingong pamilya nga mamahimong dili niya maka uban sa kanunay. Ug kung malason pa gyud,mamahimu pa nga maka-experience ug pagpangabuso ang atong mga kasambahay. Busa sakto lang nga tagaan ug pag tagad ug ihanyag ang tagsa tagsa ka mga prebilihiyo ug katungod alang kanila,” Rigo said in his message.
Rigo also commended the personnel from DOLE 11, Social Security System (SSS), Philhealth, Pag-IBIG Fund, and Department of Education 11 (DepEd) for gracing the activity intended for the “kasambahays.”
Rigo is hopeful that through the said activity the “kasambahays” will be given adequate programs.
“Ako usab nanghinaut nga daghan unta kamo makutlo karong adlawa nga makatabang kaninyu. Ayaw unta ninyu kalimti nga kining among opisina abli kanunay para muhatag ug dugang nga tabang kaninyu,” he said.
DOLE 11 regional director lawyer Randolf C. Pensoy and heads of government agencies that are members of TASK Kasambahay also graced the said activity that was highlighted with the “kasambahays” showcasing talents in “Kasambahay Got Talent” and won prizes and gift items.
The “Kasambahay Fun Day” aims to pay tribute to housekeepers for their contribution and also allow them to show their capacity to be part of the society.
