Hugpong sa Tawong Lungsod (HTL) has reminded Dabawenyos and supporters of former President Rodrigo Duterte to practice the Culture of Security while participating in the solidarity rally for the former leader’s 80th birthday slated on Friday.
Dubbed “Rody at 80: Global Filipino Solidarity,” the gathering is expected to be participated by tens of thousands of former president’s supporters in Davao City.
The Culture of Security is a people-centered campaign that encourages Dabawenyos to adopt vigilance as their way of life. The campaign “May Nakita? Dapat Magsalita!” is an order encouraging Dabawenyos to adopt the Culture of Security as part of their way of life.
HTL reiterated that during the rally the four acts of the Culture of Security – volunteer or be ready to help when needed; report if see something suspicious and inform the authorities; remind to keep each other alert and aware; and participate in the meaningful cause – shall be practiced.

Meanwhile, the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) will be deploying 1,800 police personnel during the solidarity rally.
DCPO spokesperson Captain Hazel Tuazon shared that police personnel will be deployed in five sector: entire stretch of Roxas Avenue (Ateneo de Davao University wing), former Aldevinco wing, Marco Polo Davao wing from corner C.M. Recto Avenue to Veterans Memorial rotunda, Vivaldi wing, and Avida wing or the entire stretch of C.M. Recto Avenue.
