DCPO reports peaceful, incident-free 2025

The Davao City Police Office (DCPO) reported a peaceful and incident-free observance of All Saints’ and All Souls’ Day across Davao City on Monday.

DCPO Acting City Director Col. Mannan Muarip described the outcome as a significant achievement that underscores the office’s steadfast commitment to public safety.

Under its “Ligtas Undas 2025” security plan, the DCPO deployed all available personnel and resources to secure cemeteries, transport terminals, major thoroughfares, and other areas where Dabawenyos gathered to honor their departed loved ones.

Authorities confirmed that no untoward incidents were recorded throughout the observance period.

“This zero-incident report is a collective victory that showcases not only the dedication of our men and women in uniform but also the unwavering cooperation of our partner agencies and the people of Davao. We set out to ensure that every Dabawenyo could honor their departed loved ones in peace — and we succeeded together,” Muarip said.

He attributed the success of the operation to the coordinated efforts of various security and safety clusters, including Task Force Davao, the Public Safety and Security Office (PSSO), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Philippine Coast Guard, City Transport and Traffic Management Office (CTTMO), Central 911, City Explosives and Canine Unit (CECU), police auxiliaries, force multipliers, barangay officials, and the Local Government Unit (LGU).

Muarip also commended Dabawenyos for their cooperation and discipline, noting that their adherence to safety protocols greatly contributed to maintaining peace and order during the two-day observance.

He emphasized that the success reflects DCPO’s adherence to the D.A.V.A.O. Framework — Discipline, Action, Virtue, Accountability, and Order — which continues to guide the organization’s mission toward integrity, responsiveness, and excellence in law enforcement.

“As DCPO moves forward, it reaffirms its commitment to sustaining the same high standard of security and public trust for all major citywide activities, ensuring that Davao remains a model of safety, unity, and community cooperation,” he added.
