Vietnam-based electric ride-hailing to launch service in Davao on Monday

Vietnam-based electric ride-hailing service Green GSM Philippines will officially launch its operations in Davao City on Monday, bringing eco-friendly, tech-enabled transportation solutions.

The launching will be held at its Davao Depot in JFM Sasa Property, Davao City.

The company, which debuted in Manila in June, operates an all-electric fleet of VinFast vehicles, offering clean and safe mobility options while supporting the city’s sustainability goals.

Christian Cambaya, head of the Davao City Investment and Promotion Center’s Investor Assistance Servicing Unit, shared to media last month that representatives from Green GSM visited earlier to finalize plans for the rollout.

Green GSM, which is already operating e-taxis in Metro Manila, is expanding across Southeast Asia, including Vietnam, Laos, Indonesia, and the Philippines.

Cambaya added that strategic sites for fast-charging stations are being identified to ensure the 24/7 operation of the electric fleet.

He said Green GSM is also seeking local distributors, franchise partners, and additional depot and charging station locations to support its expansion in the city.

Cambaya underscored that the entry of Green GSM underscores the growing focus on sustainable urban mobility and the adoption of electric vehicles in Davao City.
