Dabawenyos are encouraged to visit the month-long Araw ng Dabaw Trade Fair and Bazaar at Magsaysay Park as part of the celebration of the 89th Araw ng Dabaw, which showcases local food products and small businesses.
Open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., the bazaar features a range of stalls and attractions designed to support micro and small-scale entrepreneurs while providing entertainment for visitors.
Maximo Macalipes Jr., head of the City Economic Enterprise (CEE), urged Dabawenyos to drop by the trade fair and support local vendors participating in the event.
“Gina enganyo nato nga bisitahon nato ang atoang Magsaysay Park tungod kay naga suporta pod ta sa atoang mga negosyante para maka display og maka hatag pod og kalingawan didtoa,” Macalipes said in an interview with Madayaw Davao over Davao City Disaster Radio (DCDR).
The bazaar features 11 food stalls, five accessories stalls, two printing booths, and 20 ornamental plant vendors. Two gaming booths and an inflatable park have also been set up, offering activities for visitors of all ages.
For local entrepreneurs like Jackie Lou Villanueva, owner of Siam’s Snack Bar, the bazaar provides an opportunity to reach more customers.
Villanueva is participating for the second time after joining the Pasko Fiesta in 2025.
“Naa miy ginabaligya na mga snacks and drinks dria ug iinvite napod nako tanan Dabawenyos na mag visit dria sa Magsaysay Park sa food bazaar. Mag pa salamat pod ko sa City Government of Davao sa pag pahigayon og ingon ani na mga bazaar which is maka tabang sya para sa amoa na mga small entrepreneurs,” she said.
The trade fair underscores the continued efforts of the city government of Davao to support local entrepreneurship while enriching the festivities of Araw ng Dabaw.
