Vice President Sara Duterte maintained majority approval and trust ratings, while President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. registered lower approval scores in the latest Pulse Asia Research Inc. 1st Quarter Ulat ng Bayan survey released on Monday.
The survey, conducted from February 27 to March 2, 2026, reflects continued public confidence in Duterte’s leadership despite ongoing political criticism.
Results showed that 55% of Filipino adults approve of the Vice President’s performance over the past three months, while 27% expressed disapproval and 18% remained undecided.
Duterte also registered a 54% trust rating, indicating that a majority of respondents continue to place confidence in her leadership.
The findings highlight a generally positive public perception of the Vice President, with approval clearly outweighing both disapproval and indecision. While some respondents expressed dissatisfaction, this group remains significantly smaller than those who view her performance favorably.
The survey results come amid persistent political attacks from detractors, yet Duterte’s numbers point to sustained public support during the period covered.
Meanwhile, Marcos recorded a plurality disapproval rating of 45%, compared to 36% approval and 18% undecided.
He also posted a 44% distrust rating, reflecting more negative than positive sentiment among respondents.
The poll underscores a divergence in public sentiment toward the country’s top two leaders, with Duterte enjoying majority approval and trust, while Marcos faces higher levels of public dissatisfaction.
The survey covered Filipino adults nationwide who were aware of the performance of both officials. Figures were rounded to the nearest whole number.
