The Davao City Police Office (DCPO) confiscated more than P1.28 million worth of illegal drugs and arrested 43 drug suspects during a weeklong anti-crime campaign conducted from June 21 to 27, 2026.
The DCPO carried out focused law enforcement operations targeting illegal drugs, illegal gambling, wanted persons, and loose firearms.
During the one-week period, police conducted 36 anti-illegal drug operations that led to the arrest of 43 suspects. Authorities confiscated 189.12 grams of illegal drugs with an estimated Standard Drug Price (SDP) of P1,286,016 and seven grams of marijuana valued at P840.
A total of 29 drug-related cases were filed.
Aside from its anti-drug campaign, the DCPO conducted 11 anti-illegal gambling operations, resulting in the arrest of 13 individuals, the confiscation of P8,805 in bet money, and the filing of 11 cases.
Police also launched 29 operations against wanted persons, resulting in the arrest of 29 fugitives, including 10 listed as most wanted persons.
Meanwhile, 17 operations against loose firearms resulted in the arrest of one suspect, the seizure of one firearm, the surrender of 12 firearms, the recovery of two firearms, and the turnover of five firearms for safekeeping. One case was filed.
Overall, the weeklong operations led to the arrest of 86 individuals for various offenses.
DCPO City Director Colonel Peter Bauzon Madria credited the accomplishments to the dedication of DCPO personnel and the continued support of the community.
“DCPO remains unwavering in its mission to protect the city with the active support of the community and barangay officials,” he said.
Madria said the operations were carried out in accordance with human rights standards and established police operational procedures.
“These achievements reflect not only the dedication of the men and women of DCPO but also the strong partnership with the community, barangay officials, and the Local Government Unit. Together, we continue to build a safer and more peaceful Davao City,” Madria said.
