The Davao City Police Office (DCPO) has installed new commanders in three police stations as part of the Philippine National Police’s (PNP) regular personnel rotation, aimed at ensuring the continuity of programs and maintaining peace and order in their respective areas of responsibility.
DCPO spokesperson Major Maria Teresita Gaspan said the reassignment follows the PNP policy requiring station commanders to serve a maximum of two years in one police station before being transferred.
“Two years na po sila and maximum of two years lang ang required stay ng stacom ug kadtu na-relieve naa sa region na sila assigned,” Gaspan said.
Gaspan clarified that the newly designated station commanders are also from Davao and that the reshuffle is a standard administrative measure.
She emphasized that replacing a station commander after two years does not automatically indicate any problem or wrongdoing, but is part of the PNP’s normal personnel management and rotation system to ensure efficient leadership and organizational development.
Among those relieved were Major Richeen Lagnayo, former station commander of the Sta. Ana Police Station, who was replaced by Major Marc Hedssel Culaste; Major Emmanuel Manlatican, former commander of the San Pedro Police Station, who was succeeded by Major Keventh Gayramara; and Major Edison Fiesta, former commander of the Ecoland Police Station, who was replaced by Major Rosario Aguilar.
The DCPO said the turnover of command formally transferred leadership responsibilities to the new station commanders, ensuring the uninterrupted implementation of police programs and the continued maintenance of peace and order in their respective areas of responsibility.
