The Davao City Police Office (DCPO) arrested 103 individuals in a week-long law enforcement operations that also led to the seizure of more than P1.9 million worth of illegal drugs and marijuana, as police intensified operations against illegal activities in Davao City.
From August 23 to 29, 2026, DCPO conducted 41 anti-illegal drug operations, resulting in the arrest of 42 suspects and the confiscation of 101.87 grams of illegal drugs with a standard drug price (SDP) of P692,716, and 10,617.61 grams of marijuana valued at P1.274 million.
The combined value of the confiscated illegal drugs reached approximately P1.97 million.
According to DCPO City Director Col. Peter Bauzon Madria, the operations was part of DCPO’s implementation of its four focused directives aimed at strengthening law enforcement and maintaining peace and order across the city.
Police also carried out 17 anti-illegal gambling operations, arresting 21 gamblers, confiscating P9,425 in bet money, and filing 17 cases.
Meanwhile, 36 operations against wanted persons resulted in the arrest of 36 individuals, including 11 most wanted persons.
The DCPO likewise conducted 22 operations targeting loose firearms, leading to the arrest of three suspects and the seizure of four firearms.
The police also recorded 13 surrendered firearms, three recovered firearms, and five firearms turned over through Oplan Katok, with two cases filed.
Overall, the four focused directives resulted in 103 arrests for various offenses during the reporting period.
Madria said the accomplishments demonstrate the commitment of its personnel to enforcing the law while observing human rights and established police operational procedures.
Madria also emphasized the importance of continued cooperation among police, barangay officials, the local government, and the community in sustaining peace and security in Davao City.
