The Public Private Partnership knowledge center was formally opened on March 20 at the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Regional Office XI building in Davao City.
The PPP Knowledge Center acts as information hubs on PPP where local government units, implementing agencies and stakeholders can get accurate and updated information on PPPs.
The Knowledge Centers shall respond to queries on PPPs and coordinate with the PPP center counterpart for technical support, updates and other relevant information.
NEDA-XI regional director Maria Lourdes Lim said the NEDA staff shall provide clients with the information and if necessary facilitate the smooth referral of the concerns to the PPP center.
This is the first Knowledge Center in the country. More PPP knowledge centers will be opened nationwide plus a dedicated page in the PPP website on how to contact the respective region’s PPP knowledge centers.
According to PPP deputy executive director Eleazar Ricote, these are initiatives to build the capabilities of LGUs and the implementing agencies to undertake their own PPPs. (PIA/RG Alama)
