City employees, officials to get at least 50% bonus
Thousands of officials and regular employees of the Davao City government will receive performance bonus of at least 50 percent of their monthly pay .
This was revealed by Councilor Danilo C. Dayanghirang, chairman of the Davao City Council committee on finance, appropriations and ways and means, as well as committee on games and amusement, during yesterday’s presentation of Kapehan sa Dabaw at the SM Annex-Ecoland.
Dayanghirang said that 2,585 officials and regular employees of the Davao City government are qualified to receive the bonus based on their performance rating.
The granting of the performance bonus is authorized by the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) in a letter received last May 24, 2019 by Mayor Sara Z. Duterte from DILG Secretary Eduardo M. Ano, the city councilor said.
The performance bonus is part of the Supplemental Budget No. 1 covering more than P1.4 billion which will be proposed by Dayanghirang this week in the city council.
Ano told Mayor Sara in the letter that “based on the Additional List of Eligible Local Government Units issued by the AO 25 Technical Working Group and Secretariat on April 11, 2019, as a result of the re-valuation by the Civil Service Commission, the City Government of Davao was found to have complied with all of the conditions and criteria for the grant of the FY 2017 Performance-Based for Local Government Officials and Employees pursuant to Section 3.0 of DILG-DBM Joint Memorandum Circular No. 2017 -4 dated June 7, 2017, as validated by the Civil Service Commission (CSC) , Commission on Audit (COA) and this Department.”
“Hence, your LGU is eligible to grant the FYI 2017 PBB to its qualified officials and personnel strictly in accordance with all the conditions prescribed in the above-stated Joint Memorandum Circular,” the DILG official said.
