Huawei targets young people in Mindanao for Nova 5T

Chinese communications technology giant Huawei is targeting the young people in Mindanao for its latest phone release Huawei Nova 5T.

Huawei Regional Sales Head for Mindanao Pedro Chen told media during Saturday’s launch of Huawei Nova 5T at SM Lanang Premier that they see 20 percent to 25 percent market share of young people for Nova 5T.

“In the whole market share probably for the young people Nova has still about 20 or 25 % market share,” Chen said in an interview.

With a price point of P18,990, Chen said they are eyeing to capture the young people with Nova 5T’s five camera for better photos and high performance  gaming experience.

Huawei 5T features powerful 48mp five Al camera (48Mp f/1.8 wide camera, 16MP f/2.0 ultra0wide camera, 2MP f/2.4 dedicated macro and 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor rear camera and 32MP f/2.0 front camera) that promises crisper and sharper quality pictures with details capable of night selfies and 4 cm close shot with its macro lens.

“Camera is also good. Our competitors have only two or three cameras but Nova we have a total of five cameras,” Chen said.

The Nova 5T has Kirin 980 dual NPU chipset, a high performance chipset with the help of artificial intelligence that adopt users behavior and ensures long lasting battery performance.

“Nova is for young people because it has chipset inside for a very good gaming experience and better data experience,” Chen said.  

Other features of Nova 5T include 8GB RAM and 128GB ROM for more movies and games, Huawei super charge technology for a faster and safer charging experience, and holographic 3D design of ultra-light and ultra-slim glass body balanced between aesthetics maximizing viewing experience.  

According to Chen, they have received 20,000 pre-orders nationwide and recorded 1,300 pre-orders in Mindanao during the launch.
