A total of 100 farmer beneficiaries on Friday graduated from SM Foundation’s Kabalikat sa Kabuhayan (KSK) on Sustainable Agriculture Program at Casuga Integrated Farm School, Malagos, Baguio District.

In culmination of the program for Batches 231-A to 231-D, farmer beneficiaries will showcase the products of their hard work as result of their hands-on training sessions on sustainable agriculture.

The farmers’ training program, which was launched on December 28, 2021, is anchored on the goal to promote agri-preneurship, community empowerment, food security, and technology enhancement.

The training sessions were conducted by batch to maintain physical distancing measures and implement health protocol standards at the training site. There were at least 25 participants per batch.

The farmers’ training program is in partnership between SM Foundation, SM Supermalls, SM Markets, Casuga Integrated Farm School, Department of Agriculture, Department of Trade and Industry, Department of Social Welfare and Development, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, and City Government of Davao.

Partner agencies also gave workshops (e.g., financial literacy, values formation, capacity building) for the farmer beneficiaries.

Throughout the country, the KSK Program of SM Foundation already trained over 28,100 farmers in 900 cities and municipalities.

Graduates of the program will be given with opportunities to attract potential buyers through joining in the popup market booth on where they can sell their fresh produce. The booth will be available at SM City Davao and SM Lanang Premier./SM PR
