Gasoline prices up, diesel and kerosene down today

Oil firms hike pump prices of gasoline for the second straight week today, while rolling back those of diesel and kerosene.

In separate advisories, Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. and Seaoil Philippines Corp. on Monday said they will hike prices per liter of gasoline by P1.00, while reducing those of diesel by P0.10, and kerosene by P0.60.

The changes will take effect at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, March 14, 2023.

Other firms have yet to make similar announcements for the week.

Latest data available from the Department of Energy (DOE) indicate a year-to-date net income of P5.70 per liter for gasoline, and net decreases of P0.90 per liter for diesel and P1.05 per liter for kerosene as of March 7, 2023.

Firms last week hiked prices per liter of gasoline by P0.50, diesel by P1.50, and kerosene by P1.25.
