FPRRD, Pulong, Baste preparing to run for national office: Sara

Vice President Sara Duterte said on Wednesday that based on reports circulating in Davao City, former President Rodrigo Duterte, Davao City First District Representative Paolo Duterte, and Davao City Mayor Sebastian Duterte are said to be preparing to run for national position.

In June this year, the vice president revealed that her father and two brothers will all run for Senate seats in the 2025 elections.

The vice president added that no one has asked for her endorsement for the 2025 midterm elections.

Meanwhile, the vice president said there’s no discussion between the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino (PDP) and her party, the Hugpong ng Pagbabago, to form an alliance.

On September 20, 2024, PDP formally allied with Partido para sa Demokratikong Reporma, Pederalismo ng Dugong Dakilang Samahan and the Mayor Rodrigo Roa Duterte-National Executive Coordinating Committee (MRRD-NECC) for the upcoming 2025 midterm elections.

“Wala pa kaming discussion na mag-alliance with the PDP.

HNP is a regional political party, which was formed in 2018 by the vice president. The party was established in support of the Duterte administration.
