Ayala Corp. leads PH firms in TIME and Statista’s World’s Best Companies 2025

Ayala Corp. leads the Philippine companies that made it to TIME and Statista’s World’s Best Companies 2025, ranking 210th.

Ayala is one of the country’s oldest conglomerates, with almost 200 years of history. It owns business units such as Ayala Land, Bank of the Philippine Islands, Globe Telecom, ACEN, and GCash.

The conglomerate placed 273rd in 2024 and 309th in 2023.

Other Philippine firms on the list were Security Bank at 369th, SM Investments at 407th, Jollibee Foods Corp at 685th, Union Bank of the Philippines at 764th, and port operator International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI) at 828th.

China Bank also ranked 882nd, JG Summit Holdings at 949th, Robinsons Retail Holdings at 962nd, and Filinvest Development at 995th.

American tech companies Nvidia and Microsoft topped the list, ranking first and second, respectively.

TIME said that those at the top of the list, especially Nvidia, succeeded in accommodating the growing demand for AI technology.

It also noted that Apple—which topped the World’s Best Companies list in 2024—was absent this year due to a decline in revenue from 2022 to 2024, as it fell behind on AI.

Nike was ranked no. 14, and remains the highest ranked in the Apparel, Footwear & Sporting Goods industry.

The list ranks companies by employee satisfaction, revenue growth, and sustainability transparency.
