The Jollibee Group continues to grow its international presence with the launch of its first Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf (CBTL) store in the Maldives, further solidifying its push to become a leading global player in the specialty coffee and tea market.
The new store is located on the scenic beachfront of Hulhumalé’s Central Park and is operated by local franchisee Waterscape Investments Pvt. Ltd., which has committed to expanding the CBTL brand across the island nation.
“This is a significant milestone for us,” said CBTL CEO Pepot Miñana. “We’re confident that together, we’ll build a unique and welcoming space where the people of the Maldives can enjoy our handcrafted beverages and experience the authentic flavors we’ve honed over the decades.”
The Maldives opening brings CBTL’s global store count to more than 1,200 across 20+ countries. The brand sources premium coffee and tea from family-owned estates in Sri Lanka, China, Thailand, and Japan, reinforcing its commitment to quality and sustainability.
CBTL is part of the Jollibee Group’s growing portfolio of food brands, which also includes Jollibee, Chowking, Mang Inasal, Greenwich, Red Ribbon, Burger King (Philippines), Highlands Coffee, Tim Ho Wan, Smashburger, Panda Express, and Yoshinoya, among others.
Financially, Jollibee Group reported a solid performance in the second quarter of the year, posting an attributable net income of P3.211 billion, a 5.6% increase year-on-year. Net income climbed to P3.416 billion, up 7.2% from the same period in 2024.
As of the latest trading, Jollibee shares closed at P219.80, up P1.40 or 0.64% from Monday’s close.
