EDITORIAL – Not a joke

SPREADING bomb threats such as what is happening in Davao City for days now is a terrorist act. Such act, even if intended only as a malicious prank, could have the same damaging effect on the psychology of citizens, especially among many Dabawenyos who had experienced real bombing incidents in the now distant past.
Targets of the bomb threats are public schools, whose teachers and students must have trembled in fear.
We hope that the local police under Sr. Supt Ronald dela Rosa, with the assistance of the ubiquitous Task Force Davao, would be equal to the difficult task of finding out who are the pranksters behind these threats.
It is also hoped that the pranksters realize the gravity of what they are doing before good sleuthing lawmen caught them.
