Dolefil was among the four American companies whose pictures truly spoke thousand words during the 2nd American Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (AmCham) CSR Week, with the theme “The Human Face of CSR”.
Almost 200 entries were submitted by more than 25 American companies in the Philippines; all vying for the chance to be showcased at the exhibit in Glorietta 5, Makati City. Five entries from Dolefil were chosen as finalists and were displayed during the exhibit on April 21-25 for public viewing.
Among the 50 finalists, only five were chosen as runners-up and five were adjudged “Best Picture” (one from each category) by judges who came from both the business sector and the photography industry.
A photo from the Mt. Matutum Integrated Conservation and Development Program (MICADEV) entitled “Seeds of Hope” won as Best Picture for Livelihood. Another entry portraying the program’s significance to environmental protection got an “Honorable” ribbon for its over-all composition and message.
The celebration of the AmCham CSR Week aims to foster “greater appreciation of the contribution and impact of the American Business community on development. Moreover, AmCham anticipates that the participation and triumph of the member companies will heighten the morale of the company’s employees as they see their company’s involvement in making this world a better place.
