SM Foundation and SM City Davao in cooperation with DSWD activated the Operation Tulong Express booth for the benefit of the Davao City flash flood victims. The booth will be accepting donations, both in cash and in kind, at the mall’s ground floor until July 18.
On July 17, SM City Davao in partnership with the local designers will be mounting a ‘Fashion Show for a Cause’ to raise donations for the 12,000 families who were affected by the June 29 tragedy.
Last June 29, SM City Davao led relief operations in Barangay Matina Aplaya where more than 1,000 households were reported to be affected. On June 30, SM Foundation with the assistance of CSSDO and Caritas Davao distributed basic goods to other affected barangays.
SM Foundation in cooperation with the Department of Health, City Health Office, Davao Medical Society, Philippine Red Cross-Davao, Davao City Chamber of Commerce, PLDT-SMART and other civic and government agencies spearheaded a medical mission on July 1 and 2. The effort covered Brgy. Matina Pangi, Brgy. Matina Crossing and Brgy. Matina Aplaya. The medical missions afforded 2, 924 flash flood survivors free medical check-ups, medication to open wounds and medicines.
