Maligaya homeowners’ officers inducted

OFFICERS of the Maligaya Homeowners Association, Inc. located at Maligaya Village, Catalunan Pequeno in Davao City, were inducted during simple ceremony held last January 10.
The officers for the year 2014 were earlier chosen last December at Disway Restaurant, also located within the subdivision. The Christmas party of the homeowners was held after the election. There were 23 attendees composed of homeowners, lot owners, lot renters and gardeners, together with 13 proxy holders.
The group first elected the members of the board of directors, who in turn elected among themselves the set of officers for 2014.
Inducted were Atty. Regina Mercado, president; Juli Pitiquin, vice president;Ms Josefina Tejada, secretary; Ms Susan Rengel, treasurer; Ms Shirley Sucuahi, auditor; Ms Liza Parreno, business manager; Ms Corazon Quinones, press relations officer; and Ms Ava Santiago and Ms Daisy Andaluz, directors.
The members spent the rest of the evening to dance and party, receive raffle prizes, enjoy the sumptuous food and get to know the new faces/newly transferred residents in the subdivision.
The induction of the officers for 2014 was held at Atty. Joson’s residence at Mayon St., Maligaya Village. The affair was attended by the officers and the representatives from the Office of the Barangay Captain of Catalunan Pequeno. Among those present were barangay kagawads Jun Duray and Apolinar Quines. Kagawad Quines swore in the 2014 officers, in behalf of Barangay Chairman Albert Baguilod.
The officers under the leadership of Atty. Mercado swore to keep faith and put into practice the functions of the office to which they have been elected, and to perform to the best of their abilities and capacities with the aim of advancing the interest of the association.[Cora S. Quinones]
