Therma South, Inc. (TSI), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the AboitizPower (AP), was recently awarded a Plaque of Commendation by the Department of Education (DepEd) for its continued support to the promotion of public education within its host communities.

Since 2012, TSI has been implementing relevant education projects for the elementary and high schools around its host communities of Davao City and Sta. Cruz, Davao del Sur. Among these projects are its annual participation in the Brigada Eskwela, donation of various classroom buildings, teachers’ training, library renovation, science laboratory construction and establishment of tech-voc laboratories in support of the government’s K-12 Program.

Most of these projects are being implemented by TSI in partnership with the Aboitiz Foundation and the host local government units of Davao City and Sta. Cruz. (PR)
