DCWD ISO documents go digital

Davao City Water District launched the Digitization and Paperless Distribution of ISO Documents program on December 14, 2021 via Zoom. The digitization paves for easier access of documents, faster processing time, and improved efficiency in in delivery of service.

The digitization improves the accessibility of ISO forms and documents and the operations of the Office of the Quality Management Representative (OQMR). The OQMR oversees the implementation of DCWD’s quality management system or ISO 9001:2015 certification which certifies that DCWD’s provision of New Water Service Connection is at par with international standards.

The program also digitized the water meter verification process to electronically generate job orders, data records, and verification certificates in just a few clicks. This is part of the continuous improvements for DCWD’s ISO 17025:2005 accreditation for its water meter calibration laboratory which ensures accurate water meter readings.

This collaboration between the Commercial Services Department and Information and Communications Technology Department ensures successful solutions in providing customer satisfaction as these digital developments form part of DCWD’s proactive response and commitment to ensure quality of service amid the pandemic.

DCWD obtained its ISO 9001:2015 certification for the Provision of New Water Service Connection on February 11, 2019 and ISO 17025:2005 accreditation for its water meter calibration laboratory on October 26, 2017. (Christine Grace P. Casimiro)
