Tony Tancaptiong , who graduated at the Davao Chinese High School, now Davao Chong Chua High School, and who is behind the phenomenal success of Jollibee Foods, gave another honor to Dabawenyos when he received an honorary doctorate title from the pontifical University of Sto. Tomas.
Dr. Tancaptiong, the lone recipient for 2018, was conferred the title of Doctor of Business Administration.
Established in 1927, the rare award has been conferred on 78 personalities, including four Philippine presidents, nine cardinals, a number of Supreme Court chief justices, national artists and General Douglas McArthur. Contributed by Davao Chong Hua HS Alumni Association.
