DILG has new reg’l director

Personnel of the Department of Interior and Local Government in the Davao region welcomed on Tuesday Francisco C. Jose as the agency’s new regional director.
In a turn-over ceremony at the DILG regional office, Jose accepted the region’s responsibility and authority from outgoing regional director Ananias M. Villacorta who has been assigned to DILG 7.
Quoting from John Maxwell’s thoughts on leadership, Jose urged the DILG employees to be “adaptable, collaborative, team players, supportive and committed” for DILG 11 to surpass previous accomplishments.
“These values will define the true meaning of ‘catalysts” and being catalysts will denote excellence in local governance,” he stated in his message during the turn-over rites.
As one of his initial endeavors in his new place of assignment, Jose will be holding a series of consultations with key officials of the region in the succeeding days, as well as meetings with various members of the DILG family.
This is the first time for Jose to be back after more than nine years of being away from the region.
Jose is a Career Service Officer, who has spent his many years in public service.  He has provided leadership in his various assignments as assistant regional director and regional director of DILG.
As a career officer, Jose notched his milestones in the government service through various trainings, study grants and seminars, local and international.
