ROYAL CHEF: My seafood diet

Most of us, when we think of ‘meat’, we always associate the same with a juicy slab of grilled steak. Though very true, we need to broaden our horizon and see beyond land animals and embrace the magnificence of the sea.

Our earth is composed mostly of water. Thus the many wonderful and delectable produce from the sea. Studies have shown that eating fish and other seafood plays an important part on achieving a balanced diet. Though surrounded by issues on toxins and poisoning, the consumption of fish and seafood is far better than the issues that surrounds it.

Every Fridays and Saturdays, lunch and dinner, until the 21st of April 2017, Cafe Marco serves a bountiful selection of the best tasting produce from Poseidon’s lair – the delectable produce of the sea. From everyday fish varieties to large sizes of fresh squid and selection of fresh Salmon and Tuna for sashimi, you’d surely be in awe.

Fish and seafood not only taste good – especially when fresh – but more so, is composed of a number of vitamins and minerals we need for proper brain development. An excellent source of protein and Omega-3, they contain Vitamins A, C, E and even some Vitamin D.

Cafe Marco not only have a wide selection but more so, will allow you to choose what you want and have it cooked according to your preference. Here’s a tip, have some that are grilled, fried and opt for a bowl of hot clam soup white you are it. Don’t forget to concoct your own dipping sauce for the perfect flavour combo that goes well with everything on your repertoire.
