A summer to remember at SM Lanang Premier

Throughout summer, SM Lanang Premier was a destination for fun and learning for kids.

Various activities provided children with wonderful learning experiences that made this year’s summer vacation memorable.

The mall’s Summer Bento Workshop gathered dozens of culinary curious kids who discovered the art of creating colorful meals that are delicious to look at and eat.

This activity was led by Kat Maderazo and Trish Bustamante of Bento by Kat, a creative group that provides lessons for parents on creating healthy meals for picky kids.

Meanwhile, in SM Lanang Premier’s Art Weekend, kids unleashed their creativity through painting and clay crafting.

This summer art workshop was made possible in partnership with Dr. Helen Chu who leads the Davao chapter of Global Art. Kids aged 7-15 gamely learned new art skills from five of Global Art artist/instructors who discussed visual art fundamentals.

Over 80 young athletes also convened in SM Lanang Premier for a sports event by the Association for the Advancement of Karatedo Philippines (AAK).

The AAK Tournament 2017 – Super Karate Kids celebrated sportsmanship with participants from Manila, Bacolod, and Davao.

The young athletes engaged in friendly competition on Kata and Kumite (freestyle fighting).

Throughout the weekends of May, music-loving kids and their parents also joined a ukulele workshop held in partnership with Sound Essentials. This resulted in an exciting music discovery experience from featured string instruments.

“SM Lanang Premier is an exciting destination for kids all year round,” said SM Lanang Premier mall manager Therese Lapena Manalo. “We partner with passionate organizations to create meaningful and fun activities that transform the mall into a space for kids’ creative expression and learning.”
