Bridging the gap between continents has been made easy with globalisation and the world wide web. Specially food, everyone is able to taste, relieve memories and recreate favourites with the help of food products made readily available in our shelves. Despite the distance, that is.
At the NCCC Supermarket, one of Davao’s most favoured leisure malls, it’s always a Korean Food Festival anytime of any day. With their KFood Festival, everyone gets a chance to taste the best of Korean dishes — just like how their favourite Korean actors and actresses does in movies and TV series.
In collaboration with MJ Global Corporation, authorised distributor of Korean food products in major cities in the country, an engaging and interactive Korean culinary activity made everyone in attendance smile with glee.
The event last Kadayawan festival at the Activity Area of NCCC Supermarket featured well-loved Korean sauces, spices, popular noodles, cold dairy products and a staple in any Korean dish, kimchi. Not to mention, the spicy noodles, Sampyang Noodles, that has taken everyone’s palate with a storm. It was indeed a fanfare of flavours, tastes and of course, aroma that filled the corners of the activity area.
The event also featured an on-the-spot cooking demo by Eunji Lee using Korean food products readily available at the NCCC Supermarket. Aside from the live food demo, those in attendance were able to sample food faves, participate in the special selling of Korean food products and enjoy the sumptuous display on the KFood Shop. Not to mention, a number of games on the side made the event even more memorable.
True, everyone loves to eat and Filipinos are no exception. As our love for food and crossing beyond borders deepen, more so is our love for culinary exploration. With the presence of Korean food products, no wonder why many Filipinos are falling in love with their culture, lifestyle and of course, food.
See you on the next KFood Festival this 2017! Gamsahamnida.
