Time does fly these days as Durianburg’s cityscape is now changing at the speed of light thanks to the construction of many new buildings that redefine the skyline of this once sleepy city.
Last November 9, executives of Dusit International and Lanang Realty Development Corporation, an affiliate of Torre Lorenzo Development Corporation (TLDC), symbolically ‘topped off’ the Dusit Thani Residence Davao and dusitD2 Hotel, marking the formal completion of the development’s structural phase and the first milestone in the Dusit International and TLDC partnership. The ceremony is a major milestone for the structure, which remains on schedule for turnover in the fourth quarter of 2018 and will soon take its place as another of Davao’s iconic structure.
Attending the event were Davao City Councilor Avegayle Dalodo-Ortiz who represented Davao City mayor Inday “Sara” Duterte, Evelyn Singson Vice Chair and President of the Philippine Hoteliers Incorporated (which owns and operates the Dusit franchise in the Philippines); Dusit International Group Corporate Director of Technical Services Detlef Skrobanek, and Tomas P. Lorenzo, TLDC CEO, led the topping off ceremony in the presence of key Company personnel, business partners and friends from media and industry.
“When our doors open for business in 2018, the Dusit Thani Residence Davao and dusitD2 Hotel will be the very first internationally-branded mixed-use residence and hotel development as well as the first luxury accommodation right in the heart of Davao City. It will also be the first Dusit-branded Residence in Southeast Asia,” says Tomas Lorenzo, TLDC CEO. “It is a place that will blend work and leisure seamlessly with the combination of the finest amenities and world-renowned exceptional service that is distinctly Dusit. We will have a first-class destination that Davao can proudly call its own.”
