Meet Gabrielle Marie Gross Singson. Or simply Gabrielle Gross. Her name sounds like she’s a foreigner; her looks can make you think she’s an international act on vacation in the Philippines. And her voice? Her caressing voice is likened to that of a foreign singer.
This sweet 16 singer-songwriter is one of Davao’s best voices. Gabrielle is indeed a promising artist blessed with a professional singer’s bloodline and at the same time, nurtured by a tiger city’s sense of community and empowerment in showcasing the beautiful talent and skill she has. And she ain’t one to keep them to herself. She likes performing; she loves to entertain. Now that’s how you hone and share what you have.
A Dabawenyo to the core, Gabrielle’s voice alone carries the weight as she effortlessly strums her guitar or ukulele. On sight, you’ll be lured by her beaming aura as she sings her way onto the heart and soul of those listening to her.
With her talent in playing the guitar or ukulele and grasp the word play, she has all the potential of becoming a prolific songwriter. “I want to be known for the things I do and for who I am”, beams the sweet singer-songwriter.
Recently, a presscon and mini concert was held in celebration with the launch of her second single, SECRET. The song talks about expressions — being able to express the self while fitting in. In modern day lingo, it speaks of hugot. Song is composed by the country’s premier hit maker, Jimmy Bondoc and American composer, Judy Klass. Of which, hit maker Jimmy Bondoc said that (her) voice is sentimentally irresistible.
Not only is Gabrielle a voice to be reckoned with in the city, established Philippine record label, Ivory Music, has taken her under their wings. Ivory Music launched her brand of music and is currently opening doors for the mainstream audience to listen to her.
Gabrielle is managed by Studio 1 Artists Management & Events Corp. Her digital single,“A Song Inspired By You” has since been hitting the airwaves.
