The Australian Embassy in the Philippines held a cocktail reception last December 11, 2017 for Australia Global Alumni. The event held at the function rooms of Bondi & Bourke was a gathering of the many graduates of Australian schools in Davao City and its surrounding provinces.
Hosting the affair was Australian counsellor for political and public affairs Clare Duffield who was more than eager to touch base with the graduates of Australia’s education programmes. “Australia is one of the most popular destinations for international students seeking a world-class education experience – and Australia has alumni from every corner of the globe.” she said. In Mindanao, there are already thousands of individuals who have availed of scholarships to study in Australia.
“The Australia Global Alumni Cocktail Reception is one of the avenues where the individuals with an Australian education can meet, network, and engage with other graduates in different fields.” Clare added.
In her quick talk, she shared the many ways Australian alumni can keep in touch with the community as well as the many events and happenings hosted by the Australian Embassy in Manila and around the Philippines.
