With less than a week to go before Valentine’s Day, hotels and restaurants around Durianburg are now in high gear to make everyone’s love day a memorable one. I know for a fact though that Seda Abreeza’s Misto all-day-dining restaurant is already prepared to make that day extra special.
Fresh off its inclusion for the second time in a row in Philippine Tatler Dining’s Best restaurants Guide for 2018, Misto is offering a 3-course wine-pairing dinner which I was able to preview last week. The menu, beautifully prepared by Executive Sous Chef Giovanna “Bang” Flores-Sibala, also comes with a delectable dessert spread and Seda Abreeza’s signature Slow-cooked Angus Roast Beef short plate for carvery.
Dubbed as “Date Night,” February 14 will be a showcase of elegantly plated dishes paired with beautiful wines from Chile and Italy for every course. To match the fancy dinner, a movie-inspired setup with sweet harmonies of all-time favourite romantic films will fill the venue with love.
A Crab Stick, Avocado, Pickled Ginger, Baby Herbs and Greens with Honey Calamansi Dijon Vinaigrette which is paired with a nice Sauvignon Blanc by Apaltagua starts the dinner followed by a slightly spicy Shrimp in Spiced Coconut Milk soup , and Teriyaki Glazed Salmon with Malabar Black Pepper, Bok Choy and Shiitake Mushrooms for main course. Both the soup and the fish course are paired with a Pinot Noir by Pionero Soñador.
For the Slow-cooked Angus Roast Beef short plate, a fruity and elegant Merlot also by Pionero Soñador was the wine of choice. While a sweet Lambrusco Bianco by Casa Bella pairs well which the spread of treats such as Strawberry Mousse Cheesecake Parfait, Chocolate Torte Cake, Valentine Velvet Cupcakes, and Valentine’s Day Oreo Pop.
For those who want to do a staycation on Valentine’s Day, Seda Abreeza also has Valentine room packages available from February 10 to 18, 2018. Guests checking in on these dates will receive a special Valentine present. There will also be a a special room and dinner package on February 14 and includes overnight accommodation in a Deluxe Room, buffet breakfast for two persons, Valentine dinner for 2 adults, and a Valentine present.
The Valentine Date Night dinner is at Php1,680 nett per person and reservations are a must. Seda Abreeza’s room packages are at Php5,500 nett a night while the special Valentine room and dinner package on February 14 is at Php7,800 nett.
