The enchanting ancestral house at Kalon Barak serves as a great campsite for people who want to spend the night. Just need to secure authorization from the local tourism board. On one end, if you want to be in close proximity with Mother Nature, then a tent is your best bet.
Kalon Barak are two B’laan words — Kalon means cogon while Barak means jackfruit. It is believed that, in the past, the area is packed with cogon and fruit bearing jackfruit trees. Ever since it opened to the public, many has been in awe of the magical set-up of the place and the beauty of Malungon. Not to mention, the tradition of the B’laan’s that has stood the test of time.
