The Kadayawan Festival is all about the colorful tribes of Durianburg. With the city’s rich ethnic background mixed with the immigrants from all of the Philippines and beyond, this makes Davao a true mixing-pot of cultures and cuisines.
Recognising Davao’s colorful history, Park Inn by Radisson Davao kicked off the month long Kadayawan celebration with a Festive Food offering showcasing the city’s well-loved fruits and dishes served on a colourful hand-woven mat locally called a “Banig.”
RBG Bar & Grill’s Fiesta sa Banig Special is a set meal which includes a choice of Ensaladang Pipino at Dilis or Ensaladang Guso at Pomelo Salad, Sinigang na Bariles sa Mangosteen, a Platter of Grilled Chicken, Pork and Boneless Bangus, a basket of Pandan Rice, a platter of Durian-Ube Turon and Sweet Potato float for dessert. Plus a round of Pineapple Pomelo Juice or Arabica Robusta Coffee to complement your meal.
“We wanted to offer something regional this Kadayawan, and thought of incorporating Davao’s abundant harvest with the dishes offered such as the Sinigang na Bariles sa Mangosteen. The Banig is highlighted as part of the set up to exhibit the festive vibes of the meal. The flavourful set meal will definitely match with the Davaoeño taste buds and spark the culinary interest of the visitors.” says Park Inn by Radisson Davao’s General Manager, Emelyn Rosales.
The Kadayawan Festival Fiesta sa Banig set meal is priced at Php1,899 net per set that is good for six to eight people and is available daily from 11:30 AM to 10:00 PM from August 13 to 31.
Park Inn by Radisson Davao is also offering a special room package to complete your Kadayawan escape with an overnight stay priced at Php5,550 net per room per night inclusive of buffet breakfast and a set dinner for two persons.
