GREEN & STRINGS  Waterfront Insular Hotel Gives Thanks to Clients and Partners

Comforting angles, soothing strings and a fine series of courses – was how Hotel Manager Bryan Yves Lasala teased everyone in attendance.  Decked in the most pure of whites and calming greens, last Thursday, 30 August, Waterfront Insular Hotel Davao’s vast Garden Pavilion was transformed into a literal haven to celebrate their annual Clients Appreciation and Thanksgiving.

Touted as one of the most exciting events of the hotel, it spoke of gratitude and recognition as the hotel honors their top clients and loyal partners for the past year. “We are pleased to be able to welcome those of you that have been with us for a long time”, Hotel Manager Lasala said. He further added, “We have gathered you all to our annual thanksgiving to celebrate our patronage and annual thanksgiving to honor your support to the hotel. “

Further, Hotel Manager Lasala, during his welcome speech, said, “The management and staff, tonight we thank you for your hardwork and sincerity and dedication, for your trust and loyalty and for the pleasure and privilege to be working with you”.

The pavilion sparkled, together with the guests who came in their dashing couture and interpretation of the event’s theme. The guests were greeted with a lavish spread of bountiful hors d’oeuvre before transforming into the night’s celebratory mode. More than just teasing the palate, it paved the way for everyone to loosen up and mingle with the crowd.

That night, the hotel recognized and awarded 36 companies and individuals who have shown immense support and contribution to the hotel for the past year. The awarding was divided in parts thus giving the recipients and attendees time to get to know them as they paraded on stage. Awardees included private individuals and companies, media partners and government offices.

After the awarding was the parade of delicious food choices that highlighted, not only the ingredients, but more so, the talent and skills of the kitchen army that made the repertoire of flavours possible. The four-course dinner included a soothing White Tomato Cappuccino Soup, a plate of sous vide choices that featured Norwegian Salmon and Chicken with Pandan Fettucine, an exciting and colorful three-tier set of confectionary eats for dessert that included Mango-Durian Mousse, Chocolate Mousse, Strawberry Mousse, Tiramisu, Layered Cheesecake, Assorted Buchi, Pannacota, Pralines, Gateau, Éclair, Petit Fours, and Fruit Tart and capping the meal was a Blue Cheese and Ice Cream topped with Mango Lemon Caviar served on a plate of dry ice.

The night ended with a celebratory toast, led by Waterfront Hotels’ Group Sales Manager for VisMin – Antoniette Elmido, was participated in by everyone in attendance. “2017 was a banner year for Waterfront Davao and we owe it to all of you,” she shared. Elmido was joined by Group Executive Chef – Giovanni Sias, the Chefs and Management team of Waterfront Insular Hotel Davao.

Show Violinist, Jake Juleous Brian Gacang, performed that kept everyone on their toes andon their feet. With his violin covers from classic to the most contemporary of beats, no one remained seated.

To the awardees, congratulations. To Waterfront Insular Hotel Davao, cheers to many more years!
