I have always been a firm believer of supporting local. This is especially true when it comes to foodie places. The city is blessed with delicious establishments, skilled kitchen masters and sensual foodies that never fails to look for a holistic dining experience unlike any other. And with social media becoming a favourable driving force, the world truly is more than ready to know and meet the many reasons why imbibing the beauty of calories (once in a while) is okay.
Out of Nowhere Torres opened January of this year. “This is Out of Nowhere’s first franchise. Since opening, I am happy because of the reception of the diners.”, Jico Haw shared. True enough, like the other OON branches, this branch also gets a full house almost on a daily basis.
With its lush rustic interiors, one can simply get lost in its minimalist design that speaks of a journey. And that has since been a most favourable attraction to diners. Inside, the invigorating smell of food and the happy, positive vibe all around is enough to invite you to create memories with your companions.
Their menu has been evolving ever since they began serving the public. Of Asian fusion mix, their dishes are kept clean and tasty to deliver utmost satisfaction to the palate. Though already laden with quite a selection, their menu is always growing — with new dishes created to excite the foodie in you.
New on their menu are grilled scallops (fresh grilled scallops with butter garlic sauce served with parmesan corn), Bolognese pasta (stewed meat sauce in red wine cooked with fresh tomatoes), tomato soup (fresh tomato soup served with grilled cheese sandwich) and mixed seafood (mixed seafood with sun dried tomatoes sauce served in a sizzling skillet).
Also on their menu is the spiciest of them all – spicy chicken wings. Easy? NO! They are not traydor wings (on my vocab) for nothing. Their coating? A mixture of the three — local chili, ghost chili and Carolina reaper – with some honey mustard garlic sauce. Delish? Of course. The heat is tolerable – just don’t shove the whole piece in one go.
In line with them traydor wings, Out of Nowhere challenges its diners to a 5 Minute Spicy Chicken Wings Challenge where one needs to finish a plate of 6 fried and thoroughly coated chicken wings without drinking any water or any form of liquid. Can or cannot?
Hence, with a growing foodie niche, OON has since then added a function room to their services that can cater up to 60 individuals at one go. Cosy and spacious, their function rooms are best for gatherings, celebrations or even meetings. Not to mention the food that comes with it.
