Out with the old, in with the new

We rarely think about it, but one of the most important things to bring when one is travelling is strong and dependable luggage and bags to haul our personal effects and travel gear with. I had the misfortune of having my luggage break apart while commuting to catch my international return flight and it was not a pretty sight.

Keeping one’s luggage in tip-top condition is the key to stress-free travel. Check that all of your bag’s parts and seals are tight and secure to ensure that your luggage can withstand the rigors of getting hauled about and stacked around. Of course, it also helps to rely on dependable brands that build durable and high-quality luggage that can stand the test of time.

But what if you feel the need to update your bag for the latest models which are light as a feather or want that new luggage that is built sturdier and with more security features? It would be a shame just to throw out a trusty piece of travel equipment right?

Luckily, The Travel Club, a premiere concept store that carries an impressive array of top-of-the-line travel brands from all over the world, will be holding its Travel Club Trade-In Sale for the very first time in Cebu and Davao.

In time for the season of giving and in an effort to come up with exciting and meaningful ways to connect with the travelling community the four-day allows customers to donate their pre-loved luggage and bags in exchange for discounts from 15% to 40% on new travel gear. All bags from brands are accepted and discounts are given on a one-donated-bag to one-bag-purchase basis.

Apart from being a great opportunity to shop for new travel items, The Travel Club Trade-In Sale is also a chance for travelers to take part in a good cause. Teaming up with the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), the pre-loved items that will be turned-over to The Travel Club will be donated to the organization for overseas Filipino workers.

OWWA regional director, Petrona M. Bergado, shares that the donated bags will be a great help for outgoing Overseas Filipino Workers. “The travel bags are a Godsend especially for the OFWs who are going to work abroad for the first time. The donated bags means they can save money instead of buying new luggage.” said director Bergado.

Among the line-up of brands participating at The Travel Club Trade-In Sale include Delsey, Briggs & Riley, Traveler’s Choice, Victorinox, and World Traveller. The Travel Club Trade-In Sale will be held at The Gallery of Ayala Center Cebu and at The Travel Club store in Abreeza Mall Davao from October 25 to 28.
