If you only have hours to spend in Singapore, where do you go?
A recent trip to Asia’s beautiful city-state, Singapura, through the initiative of Resorts World Sentosa, re-introduced me to the many beautiful attractions at Resorts World Sentosa. With the sun high and mighty, it was a date with my shoes, bottled water and media friends as we explored RWSentosa inside and out.
Together with us was Jonathan Yu, Senior Executive of Communications, who made sure that every moment spent was memorable and fun. Oh and yes, I always, always end up being a tour guide – a most happy role I willingly took.
Maritime Experiential Museum
The newly renovated museum at Resorts World Sentosa is their newest attraction dedicated to the exploration of the iconic Maritime Silk Route. Inside, a splendour of sights and scenes will let you experience the Maritime Silk Route era up close and personal. It features 15 curated themes of varying tones and vibes, all of which will lead you to what Singapore is today.
From what I recall, the newly renovated museum is more interactive and curated in order to deliver an utmost experiential feeling as you explore. Do not forget to go through the Typhoon Theatre — be ready to get a bit wet.
Typhoon Theatre
Designed to be an immersive and simulated theatre, goers are taken ‘on board’ a 9th century Arabia-bound ship that encounters a storm while sailing. This 150-seater attraction will not only allow you the feeling on board, you’ll also experience some splashes as you go.
SEA Aquarium
South East Asia Aquarium (S.E.A. Aquarium) at Resorts World Sentosa is one of the largest aquariums in the world. It is home to more than 100,000 marine life species that also highlights a pristine aquatic environment like no other. Inside SEA Aquarium, you’d be in awe of the life under the surface. Go ahead and cruise along — but do not forget to learn as you go.
Adventure Cove Waterpark
This is the ultimate water experience in Resorts World Sentosa. Designed for thrill seekers, this is the only exhilaratingly magnificent waterpark that has elements of marine-life wherein guests can immerse with. Not to mention, the opportunity to interact with Indo-Pacific bottlenose dolphins.
The waterpark was built and cored upon the tale of ancient civilisation. The representation is visible on its aesthetic and structural design.
Dolphin Island
Dolphin Island at Resorts World Sentosa is home to a number of Indo-Pacific bottlenose dolphins. Inside, you’d be treated to 11 large, interconnecting lagoons that serves as their pen. Not only does it allow guests to be up close with the dolphins but more so, learn and discover about them. Once in the water, you’d have the opportunity to play with them and experience their life in the water.
Indeed, Resorts World Sentosa is more than just its attractions; it is an ultimate destination that warrants every second of your attention. The next time you are in Singapore, never forego the opportunity to explore Resorts World Sentosa. I know I won’t.
