Home improvement and construction retailer Wilcon Depot has opened its second store in Davao City.
Recognizizing the city’s stature as the fourth most competitive city in 2018, Wilcon Depot bolstered its foothold on the construction retail market with its latest expansion.
“We have seen the greater need of Filipinos for home building materials not only in the Metro. Upon recognizing those needs, Wilcon desired to achieve a measure of success and continuously establish a Wilcon Depot store in more provinces”, said Wilcon President and Chief Executive Officer Lorraine Belo-Cincochan.
Wilcon Depot, the country’s leading home improvement and construction supply retailer, recently opened its doors to its newest retail store in Davao City. Located at Blk 2 Valle Verde, Panacan Diversion road, Davao City, Wilcon Depot Panacan is built with the customer in mind – providing a one-stop shop of exquisite products and home solutions under one roof.
Present during the ribbon-cutting were Wilcon EVP-Chief Financial Officer Mark Andrew Belo, Wilcon SEVP-Chief Operating Officer and PRA President Rosemarie Bosch-Ong and United Architects of the Philippines National President Arch. Benjamin Panganiban Jr.. Also present were Davao City Councilor Marisa Salvador Abella, who represented Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio, Wilcon suppliers, members of the local government and friends.

Wilcon Depot Panacan has a total sales area of over 12,000 square meters. Inside, you’d be treated to a spacious area accommodating thousands of reliable local and international brands in the market ranging from tiles, sanitary wares, plumbing, home interior, construction and building materials, hardware, electrical and DIY home items to name a few.
Ong added, “We’ve been doing these for over 40 years now, and through these persistent efforts, Wilcon Depot was named as the top home retailer for every builder across the country.”
Over the years, Wilcon Depot has continually provided the country with an extensive selection of the highest-quality of products and services in the home and construction industry.
Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte – Carpio said, in a message read by City Councilor Marisa Abella, “Wilcon Depot’s continued expansion demonstrate its commitment in delivering satisfactory products and services.”
“To date, this is our 35th provincial branch nationwide, and it is noteworthy to say that it is a privilege to be back here in Davao City, where it all started.,” Wilcon President and Chief Executive Officer Lorraine Belo-Cincochan said.
Wilcon Depot first entered Mindanao in 2002. It was also in 2002 that they opened and established their first store in Davao (Matina).
Meantime, Wilcon Depot launched their Wilcon Online shop – the company’s official digital store to usher in 2019. The retail giant is set to open eight more stores this year.
Wilcon Depot Panacan is their 6th in Mindanao and 52nd in the country.
