And at an event held at the Jade Ballroom of the Marco Polo Davao last 18 June 2019, its first outside of Metro Manila, Whirlpool® introduced three new additions to its roster of thoughtfully designed products and appliances suited with us in mind.
Hosted by Ms. Donita Rose, the event allowed the audience to have a closer look at three brand new models as Whirlpool® and Excellence Appliance Technologies, Inc. (Exatech) demonstrated all the unique features of the products.
For 27 years, Whirlpool and Exatech have joined forces to bring the best US appliances to Filipinos. This, according to Whirlpool® Sales Director Chris Sioco, has made Exatech grow from a local appliance retailer to an international distributor since 1992.
Exatech President and CEO Nixon Sioco said, “Exatech strives to be true to its name by giving excellent appliances and customer service to Filipino consumers. We are excited for Whirlpool to strengthen its presence to more parts of the Philippines, and with these new models, we are really confident in maintaining long-lasting relationships with our loyal customers while also building new ones.“
Exatech Trade Marketing Manager Julius Christian Santos introduced the first product. The spacious 30-liter MWP Vancouver microwave oven is like the Rolls Royce of microwave ovens. Santos explained that the integrated handle and touch-screen design makes it easy to operate even for first-time users. The grill and steam function, he said, also makes it flexible for all kinds of cooking needs.
Next came the innovative Bloomwash Inverter Plus washing machine. The Zen Direct Drive Inverter Technology, as Whirlpool Asst. Brand Manager Ryan Philip Mistades explained, allows for a quiet yet high wash performance. It also ensures high energy savings.
Mistades shared that the said washing machine has a hot wash feature that heats up the water up to 45°C – best temperature to remove different types of stubborn stains. This was further supported by FAST Lab test results that revealed the low bacterial count after just one wash cycle.
The final product launched was the revolutionary Quattro French Door Refrigerator. Equipped with Whirlpool’s patented 6th Sense Technology, it maintains the optimal environment for your food. It also has a Fresh Lock that adjusts the temperature to preserve the freshness of fruits and vegetables and a Freeze Lock technology that reduces freezer burns. Meanwhile, its Flexi Freeze compartment allows us to choose three different temperature levels depending on the food we are storing.
Whirlpool dealers, partners and friends from the media from the Visayas and Mindanao region were not only the first to see the brand new products, they were also treated to a whole lot of loving. Everyone went home with something in tow.
And the best part? Three major prices were given away to three lucky attendees – two brand new washing machines and a spectacular refrigerator. The writer was fortunate to take home a brand new Whirlpool® Radiant InverterPlust Frontload Washer 7.5 kg. Thank you, Whirlpool.
