So what is the fuss about essential oils?
Essential oils are concentrated plant extracts that are obtained through steam distillation from flowers, fruits, seeds, stems, leaves, bark or roots of plants. These are highly fragrant and volatile and are not water soluble. They do mix with carrier oils such as olive oil and almond oil and are usually diluted in the carrier oils for safe application on the skin.
“Essential oils are potentially antibacterial, anti-fungal and antiviral,” said Judith who was present for the launch of Essence of Cleopatra Aromatherapy oils at the Chimes Flagship store last September 14. “The oils have the ability to alter body chemistry and therapeutic responses. When I feel tired, I usually add a dab of peppermint onto the temples of my head to feel energised and focused.”
Essence of Cleopatra Aromatherapy’s products can be grouped into five distinct categories: Radiance+ Collection, Beauty and Body, Signature Blends, Synergies and Pure Essential Oils.
The Radiance+ Collection harnesses natural rejuvenation processes enhanced by natural essential oils like as their Youth Serum with Argan Oil, a facial oil specially formulated to help reduce wrinkles and rejuvinate the face and neck.
