DavOr town closes all gov’t offices  for 2 days due to COVID-19 surge

The Municipal Government of Banaybanay has temporarily closed all of its offices starting June 7, 2021 until June 9, 2021 due to the rise of COVID19 cases in the municipality.

The Municipal Information Office of Banaybanay announced through its facebook page that a disinfection will be conducted to all of its offices during the two-day suspension.

During this period, all of its employees who have been exposed to people positive of COVID19 will be isolated as well.

As of the latest report dated June 4, 2021, Banaybanay has 33 active cases, the fourth most in the entire province.

Below is the ranking of Davao Oriental city and municipalities from most to least number of active cases as of the latest report dated June 4, 2021:

 

1.         Mati City – 64 active cases.

2.         Baganga Municipality – 54 active cases.

3.         Lupon Municipality – 40 active cases.

4.         Banaybanay Municipality – 33 active cases.

5.         Governor Generoso Municipality – 16 active cases.

6.         Caraga Municipality – 10 active cases.

7.         Cateel Municipality – 7 active cases.

8.         San Isidro Municipality – 5 active cases.

9.         Manay Municipality – 4 active cases.

10.      Tarragona and Boston Municipalities – 2 active cases each.

 

With this, there are 237 active cases in the entire Province of Davao Oriental.

In May, the Provincial Government released three Executive Orders (EO 12, 13, and 14 all series of 2021) seeking to prevent further spread of COVID19 by intensifying its policies on border control, event gatherings, and establishments’ compliance to the health protocols. (Jan Vincent Leuterio/PIA-XI)
