Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio has issued Executive Order 1 Series of 2022 which extends the modified liquor ban and the lifting of the citywide curfew which was earlier issued thru Executive Order 59-A Series of 2021.
The EO 1 Series of 2022 extends EO 59-A S. 2021 until June 30, 2022.
In the E.O. Mayor Duterte-Carpio cited Presidential Proclamation 1218 s. 2021, that extended the State of Calamity in the country until September 12, 2022, and the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) Resolution No. 156-C series of 2022, placing Davao City under Alert Level 3 status from January 14 to January 31, 2022.
The modified liquor ban places a ban on selling alcoholic drinks from 1:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. Drinking liquor is only allowed inside private residents. The serving of alcohol and consuming it on public places or outside or private residences is prohibited.
Davao City currently has 811 active COVID-19 cases (as of January 12). In the latest bulletin (Jan. 12) Davao City logged 243 new COVID-19 cases.
The City will be placed under Alert Level 3 from January 14 to January 31. (PIA/RG Alama)
