The Office of the First Congressional District of Davao City continues to provide facilities for the comfort of Dabawenyos.
Davao City First Congressional District Representative Paolo “Pulong” Duterte, represented by his son, Rodrigo “Rigo” Duterte II, turned over multi-purpose buildings and other facilities to Barangay Langub officials in Ma-a, Davao City on Wednesday.
In his message, Rigo urged the barangay officials to take care of the infrastructure.
He also thanked the barangay officials for their endless support to his father as well as assured them that the First Congressional District will continue the developments in the First District and assist the residents.
Meanwhile, Barangay Langub chieftain Leilani Bacalso thanked Rep. Pulong for the three multi-purpose buildings situated in Zone 2, 3, and 4; a senior citizens’ building; a senior high school building; a covered court; a barangay hall; and a farm-to-market road.
Bacalso also thanked the First Congressional District Office for the two inverter air conditions that will be installed in the barangay hall.
In an interview, she said the new facilities would be a center for various community gatherings and services, including awareness drives, assemblies, and other public greetings and activities of the barangay and other local government agencies.
“Without these facilities and roads, Langub would still be in a difficult situation. The infrastructure provided by Congressman Pulong has greatly helped many people here. I am so happy about such progress in our barangay,” Bacalso said in vernacular.
Bacalso said the barangay, whose roads are divided into seven separate ways, has a population of around 4,334.
On his end, Pastor Ricky Anrisio during the consecration of the barangay hall said that the progress in Brgy. Langub would not be possible without the great endeavor of Rep. Pulong and his office.
He also reminded everyone to use the infrastructure “for God’s great glory.”
