Barangay Captain Omar Duterte of Buhangin District described his father, Davao City First District Representative Paolo “Pulong” Duterte, as a great man that he aspires to be.
Omar shared this through his birthday message for his father last month on his Facebook page.
“Happy birthday to the man who always sees the greatness within people and has always put the betterment of society and his constituents above all. Truly a great man I aspire to be. Happy Birthday pa!” he said.
Omar said that he will sincerely serve his constituents like his father such as assisting indigent students to receive educational cash assistance from the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO). He said this program is one of his priorities in his barangay.
During his oath-taking as elected Barangay Captain of Buhangin in November last year, Omar said he had asked for advice and guidance from his father in his journey as a public servant.
