Quiboloy affirms he is not in hiding, enumerates conditions in facing raps

Pastor Apollo Quiboloy, founder of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC), affirmed in an audio recording released on Saturday, that he is not hiding and is willing to face the charges if his conditions are followed.

“Ako ay hindi nagtatago sa kasong ito. Kayang kaya kong harapin yan. Gustuhin ko man o hindi,” Quiboloy said.

The evangelist claimed everything that happened is just a trap for the American authorities to get him and when that happens an extraordinary rendition will take place.

This developed after the National Bureau of Investigation-Davao (NBI-Davao) served the warrants of arrest to Quiboloy’s co-accused namely Barangay Tamayong chairman Cresente Canada and four others who surrendered to the NBI-Davao office last week namely Pauleen Canada, Sylvia Cemane, Jackielyn Roy and Ingrid Canada.

This is concerning the warrant of arrest issued by Regional Trial Court branch 12 of Davao City under Judge Dante Baguio against Quiboloy, and five others on Tuesday over child abuse charges.

The five accused were released after posting bail on Wednesday and Thursday.

Quiboloy said he is preserving himself so as not to fall into the trap allegedly set by the American authorities.

“Iniingatan ako ng Ama na hindi ako pupunta sa patibong ng tao para mangyari ang kanilang gustong gawin sa akin na gusto nila akong bawian ng buhay sapagkat akoy hadlang sa kanilang mga plano,” he said.

Quiboloy cites conditions for him to appear and face the charges. He wanted a guarantee that the American authorities would not interfere with his case in the Philippines; a guarantee that the Federal Bureau Investigation (FBI), Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), and the US embassy would not interfere; a guarantee from President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., Justice Secretary Jesus Remulla, Philippine National Police (PNP) head General Rommel Marbil, the NBI, and the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG).

He also emphasized the guarantee that there will be no extraordinary rendition.

He also underscored that these guarantees should be in written form.

“Kung hindi ninyo mabibigay sa akin in written form ang mga conditions na ito mula sa Office of the President, DOJ, PNP, NBI, and CIDG hindi ninyo makikita ang pagmumukha ko. Kung ako ima-manhunt ninyo tulad ng sinasabi ninyo na para bang ako ay talagang kriminal, hindi naman ako drug lord at hindi ako sumisinghot ng drugs at itong kasong lahat na puro accusations at ginawa ninyong totoo, you tried me by publicity kasi wala kayong laban sa korte, hindi kayo patas makipaglaban,” Quiboloy said.
