City employees take refresher on ARTA laws, guidelines

Davao City government employees on Nov. 5, 2024 took a refresher course on Republic Act 11032, which was conducted by the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) – Eastern Mindanao Regional Field Office.

The seminar was attended by the Ease of Doing Business Focal persons from respective city departments.

The inputs given include the salient features of R.A. 11032 or the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018”, the guidelines on the creation of the Committee on Anti-Red Tape (CART), Harmonized Client Satisfaction Measurement (CSM), guidelines on Zero Backlog, and implementation of the Citizen’s Charter.

The speakers were Ms. Marie Jay Kamille S. Dayhon and Mr. Eldie C. Barrientos of ARTA.

Mary Frances Resma from Assistant City Administrator’s Office said she was very thankful to the inputs given.

“This refresher course was very useful for us as EODB Focal Persons in our respective offices. The speakers shared a very valuable and useful information to strengthen the ARTA Law towards the goal of providing excellent customer satisfaction to our constituents. Thank you for the reminder to continually improve our behavior and inculcate the core values and norms of conduct and ethical standards for efficient government service,” Resma said.

Davao City Administrator Atty. Francis Mark H. Layog, in his commitment message, said that he was hopeful the seminar has reminded employees of their duties as public servants.

“As public servants, it is our duty to deliver efficient government services to the Dabawenyos. May this course help us improve and meet the demands of effective and up to date service delivery and ensure that all government transactions are streamlined for the advancement of all Dabawenyos.
