Cops conduct hot pursuit ops vs. robbery suspect in Ma-a

The tracker team of Ma-a Police Station is currently conducting a hot pursuit operations for the apprehension of the suspects of an alleged robbery-hold up at USSC Western Union located at Purok 14, Bugac, Brgy, Maa, Davao City on Thursday.

Based on the initial report of Ma-a Police Station, the victim identified as alias Nena, cashier of USSC Western Union-Ma-a, reported that an unidentified man wearing a black bonnet entered the establishment and declared hold-up while pointing an undetermined handgun at her.

According to alias Nena, the suspect was able to steal an amount of P47,700 and immediately sped off to an undisclosed location riding a white XRM motorcycle.

The victim described the suspect as medium build and about 5’7’ in height.

Meanwhile, in Calinan, Tugbok Police Station apprehended alias Jimson, suspect of snatching outside the Sacred Heart of Jesus church along Purok 26, Datu Abing St., Calinan, Davao City.

According to the investigation conducted by Tugbok Police Station, the victim identified as alias Susan, a candle vendor at the said church, said the suspect bought a candle and after paying, grabbed her necklace.

However, the victim was able to get hold of the hands of the suspect and grappled him on the ground.

With the assistance of a concerned individual and the presence of the police officers who were conducting mobile patrol in the area, the suspect was subdued and arrested.

Confiscated from the possession of the suspect were one piece broken Thailand gold necklace with a market value of P80,000 and one unit of black Honda 125 XRM registered under his name.
