DCPO: Robbery in Ma-a not work of organized group

Davao City Police Office (DCPO) spokesperson Capt. Hazel Tuazon emphasized on Monday that the robbery incident in a remittance center in Ma-a was not conducted by an organized group but by an individual only.

She said the coordination of the Ma-a Police Station with other police stations in Davao City continues.

The tracker team of Ma-a Police Station is still conducting hot pursuit operations for the apprehension of the suspect of the robbery-holdup at USSC Western Union located at Purok 14, Bugac, Brgy, Maa, Davao City last week.

Tuazon said that the police are ensuring the security of the complainant of the remittance center robbery incident in Ma-a last week while the hot pursuit against the suspect is ongoing.

Tuazon said the DCPO is doubling its efforts to resolve the incident and file the case in court.

DCPO advised the owners to ensure that CCTV systems are functional and regularly maintained and that security guards are properly deployed to safeguard the area.
