The Davao City Police Office (DCPO) called on business owners on Friday to strengthen the security of their premises following a robbery-holdup at USSC Western Union located at Purok 14, Bugac, Brgy, Maa, Davao City last week.
DCPO spokesperson Captain Hazel Tuazon said owners are advised to ensure that CCTV systems are functional and regularly maintained and that security guards are properly deployed to safeguard the area.
“Business owners and employees are also encouraged to closely monitor the activities of individuals inside and outside their establishments. If suspicious behavior is observed—such as someone appearing uneasy or exhibiting signs of intending to commit a crime—immediately report to the nearest police station,” Tuazon said.
For prompt response during emergencies, Tuazon said the public is advised to keep the contact number of the police station readily available or call 911 for urgent assistance.
She also said that this advisory is part of DCPO’s ongoing commitment to maintaining safety and order in the city.
